A little recognition can change the feel of a whole workday.
Be specific
Name the action you appreciated and explain the difference it made. A thoughtful sentence about someone’s contribution feels more meaningful than a generic message to the whole team.
Share the context
Explain how individual effort connects to the wider outcome. People should be able to see the purpose behind the task, not just the deadline attached to it.
Make support visible
Recognition also means creating the conditions for good work. Clarify priorities, remove unnecessary steps and give people space to ask for help.
Build a small ritual
A short end-of-week reflection can surface progress that would otherwise go unnoticed. Invite people to recognize each other and celebrate learning as well as delivery.
Try one idea with your team this week. Small, considered changes can create a better rhythm of work.
